Posted on Dec 19, 2014
Award-winning elearning company, Sponge created more than 20 new jobs in 2014 and plans to increase its workforce by a further 30 in 2015.
The jobs boost follows an outstanding year for the custom-made elearning provider which saw a 50% increase in new clients and overall growth of 40%.
Sponge’s cloud-based LMS system, Launch and Learn, also expanded in 2014 to serve more than 50,000 learners in 124 countries.
Managing Director, Louise Pasterfield, said:
“It all helps to further enhance our ability to make a big difference to our customers in the areas that matter to them most.”
“We are expanding and developing our team so we can innovate, use new technologies and continue to deliver excellent customer service to our clients worldwide.
Family-owned Sponge, based in Plymouth and London, was founded in 2004 and has grown from an initial staff of just two to a workforce of more than 50.
The company is working with Vancouver-based business growth specialist, Michael Walsh from Kaizen Consulting:
“I believe this is what makes Sponge a really special organisation.”
“It is refreshing to see a company expand so quickly but remain vigilant that every single player is the right fit, meets the company’s values and has the opportunity to excel.
Sponge was named Elearning Development Company of the Year at the 2014 Elearning Awards in November.
The business makes bespoke elearning for major companies and organisations such as Tesco, Toyota and United Nations.
