Sponge launches Christmas game challenge

Leading elearning company, Sponge, is offering a special challenge this festive season where people can play a Christmas game and be in with the chance of winning a Kindle Fire HD6.[i]
Instead of sending Christmas cards, the award-winning company is trying to spread a little festive cheer by sharing the free game.
Players take up the role of a Christmas elf who must run along the rooftops to catch presents falling off Santa’s sleigh, avoiding hazards like chimney pots and collecting sugary treats such as candy canes to boost energy.
Players who share their score on the leader board, regardless of how many points they get, will be entered into a free prize draw.
One winner will be picked at random to receive a Kindle Fire HD6.
The top ten highest scorers will also have the glory of being listed on the game’s leader board.
Sponge Managing Director, Louise Pasterfield, said:
“This year’s game is really fun and for the first time we have a leader board so you can test your ability against other players and even be in with the chance of winning a prize.
“It is our way of saying thank you to all our clients, suppliers and stakeholders for their continued support.”
“There is a bit of a tradition at Sponge of providing something interactive instead of a plain, old Christmas card.
The game has been built using the Phaser framework for HTML5.
Sponge’s game specialist, Jason Butler, said:
“Our Design Team came up with the charming graphics which really bring the game to life and once you start it can become quite addictive - we’ve already had people in the office with scores above 80,000!”
“We decided to build in Phaser as it’s an emerging technology - the whole experience was a lot of fun.

The competition closes at 23:59 hrs on 21 December, 2014. Only one entry per person will be counted. Winners will be formally notified within 14 days of the closing date via email or phone. Only the winners will be contacted personally, we regret that we will not be able to respond to all entrants. The prize may not be transferred to any other company or individual. No cash alternative or alternate prize is available. Employees of Sponge and their families are not eligible to win. Winners may be required to take part in or co-operate with publicity. Entrants agree to receive further communication from Sponge Ltd. Winners contact details will not be shared outside of Sponge Ltd. Use of false name, company or address will result in disqualification from the competition. We reserve the right to amend these conditions at any time. Entering implies acceptance of these conditions. Selection of the winner is at the discretion of Sponge Ltd, the decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
